Tottenham Hotspur Ladies started the season
with a number of new signings. Charlotte Kao had come in between
the posts, with Charlotte Lewis joining, having previously played for
Cambridge University. Two new starters were Kelly Mawston and Jay
Howland from New Zealand, while striker Jenna Schillachi was hoping to
make her mark at the club.
The first test was an away friendly
against a strong Gravesend & Northfleet side, with the match ending
in a draw between two sides determined to make their mark in the run-up
to the real action.
