Name :
KAY LOVELOCK

Position :
Ex-Goalkeeper, now Club Secretary
Nickname :
The Cat
Age :
44
Height :
4' 11 ¾" last time measured
Occupation :
Senior Customer Service Advisor for Spurs
Previous Clubs :
Harlow
Walton & Hersham
Honours :
Division 3 Winners Medal
Sue Sharples Memorial Trophy Winners 1995
Sue Sharples Memorial Trophy Runners-up 1996
Best Moment in Football :
From a playing point of view, winning the Sue Sharples Trophy ... it was a very emotional day.
As a Secretary, I could not have been prouder than when the Ladies played on the pitch at White Hart Lane.
Worst Moment in Football :
Losing the 1996 Sue Sharples Trophy Final to, of all teams, Ar***al.
Any match we lose, when we just don't do ourselves justice.
Worst Injury :
Done all the ligaments, fractured/dislocated fingers, etc.
Worst thing I ever did was at school was head the shot-putt !!
Ambition in the game :
To see Tottenham Hotspur Ladies back up with the best.
And for the 2002-2003 season to see the Reserves lift the Sue Sharples Memorial Trophy.
Length of time at THLFC :
I formed the club back in 1985.
Number of appearances for THLFC :
Unfortunately, never kept a record
Number of goals for THLFC :
None - not too many chances back in goal !!
What would the others in the team say your strengths are ?
I would hope that they say I get the games on, sort the kit, etc, do the paperwork and generally make life a little easier for them.
Which person has had the biggest influence on your career ?
My friend Sue Sharples got me in to Ladies football.
My family who have supported me when others thought I should have given up.
Which player do you try and model your game on ?
As a player, I would have loved to have been as good as Pat Jennings, but I guess it was more like Bobby Mimms.
As a secretary, I would like to be as good as the ex-Spurs secretary Peter Barnes.
Club supported :
Tottenham Hotspur, of course.
How did you get interested in the game ?
I always loved having a bit of a kick about as a kid and used to get into trouble for playing at school (this was before girls played at school).
I attended a match to watch my friend play and then started going to training and it all went from there.  The next thing I know, I'm forming a club and the rest, as they say, is history.
Comments :
Funniest thing was at a home game one day, I walked through the bar of the Clubhouse in my keeper's kit and a rather loud-mouthed guy at the bar laughed and asked me "What do you do if they lob you ?"

I immediately replied, "Hope they miss !"

The rest of the bar burst out laughing and gave me a round of applause and my first drink after the match was on the house !!
