20.04.2008 The First Team had a L&SERWFL Premier Division game away to Woking this afternoon and won 4-0.  For a match report, click here.

The Under-15 Whites played an away HCGFL U15 game away to Watford Ladies U15 this afternoon and came away with a 3-0 victory.  For a match report, click here.

Back in HCGFL action after a couple of weeks lay-off, the Under-15 Blues faced Harvesters U15 in an away game this afternoon earning a point in a 3-3 draw.  For a match report, click here.

The Under-10s were at home in the HCGFL to Denham United U10 this morning and won 3-0.  Click here for a match report.

The Under-11 Whites faced an away trip to Luton Town U11 in the HCGFL U11 Cup semi-final and won through to the final with a 1-0 victory.  Click here for a match report.

SENIOR PLAYERS WANTED

Trials for senior players are to be held on May 8th, 15th and 22nd May at the White Hart Lane Community Sports Centre (New River Sports Ground) (see here for location). 
Players who intend to attend the trials MUST send their name, preferred playing position, previous club experience and a contact telephone number to spursladies@blueyonder.co.uk.

As there are a number of games still to be played training at both Albany and New River has been extended. 

Albany will continue to May 20th and New River to May 22nd.

13.04.2008 The First Team had a L&SERWFL Premier Division game away to Hendon this afternoon and won 5-1.  For a match report, click here.

The Reserves were away to Katabella this afternoon in the GLRWFL Division 2 North, drawing 3-3.  For a match report, click here.

The Under-15 Whites played their HCGFL U15 Cup quarter-final away at Cambridge City and were knocked out 1-5.  For a match report, click here.

The Under-14s were away to QPR U14 in the HCGFL and recorded a 2-1 win.  For a match report, click here.

The Under-13s were due to host Hitchin Town Belles U13 at Fred Knights in the HCGFL, but the match was called off and awarded to THLFC.

The Under-12 Whites home HCGFL match against Harvesters U12 saw the home side forfeit the game as some of the girls were representing their Boroughs in the mini London Marathon and Spurs could not raise a team.

The Under-12 Blues played a home friendly against the Gloucestershire FA U12 Centre of Excellence and the result was a 9-1 win for Spurs.  For a match report, click here.

30.03.2008 The First team were due to be away to Woking in the L&SERWFL Premier Division and the Reserves were due to travel to play Watford Youth in the GLRWFL Division 2 North, but waterlogged pitches postponed their matches. The Under-15 Blues game away to Harvesters in the HCGFL was also called off.

29.03.2008 CONGRATULATIONS !!
The Under-16s and the Under-14s were successful in the Tesco Cup at Long Lane JFC today.
Both side won in their age groups, with the Under-16s walking off with the trophy as Crayford Arrows withdrew after entering at the wrong age group.
The Under-14s played Lambeth Girls and won 3-1 to take the trophy.
Both teams move on to the Regional Finals at Roehampton on 03.05.2008

The Reserves away GLRWFL Division 2 North match at Garston Reserves was postponed this afternoon. 

The Under-16s were at home for their HCGFL Cup quarter final against Southend United U16 this morning, winning through to the semi-final 3-2 in extra time after the game had finished 2-2 in normal time.  Click here for a match report. 

Watford Ladies U15s would have hosted the Under-15 Whites in the HCGFL this afternoon, but the game was postponed.

14.03.2008 The Reserves games against Hemel Hempstead have now been arranged.

The away match will be on Tuesday April 22nd at Vauxhall Road, Hemel Hempstead with a 7:45 p.m. kick off and the home game will be played on Thursday 24th April at the White Hart Lane Community Sports Centre (New River) kicking off at 8:00 p.m.

The Reserves league game against Katabella on Easter Sunday has been postponed.

A reminder to all sides training at Albany School ... the school will not be available on Tuesday 18th March due to a school function. 

All teams playing at Fred Knights on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th March will be able to pick up "Tottenham First" - a new local news magazine, which will be covering THLFC in the next issue and will carry updates on the club every month.

Please note - for the Reserves trip to Garston Reserves on Sunday, we have had the following message from the opponents ...
"Please note, following a match last season it was found that several cars parked in the car park, immediately on your right as you enter the school, had been broken into – therefore please bring your cars down and onto the school playground and park them as close to the dressing-room area as possible as it is felt that this may be a safer area due to the volume of people moving about.

Please ensure that you take adequate care that no valuables are left on view within your cars, neither the school nor the club can take any responsibility for damage to, or loss from, vehicles."

Our Under-13 side have arranged a friendly for Sunday at home to Cambridge City, kicking off at 12:30.

Here is the information regarding the closure of the M1, which may affect some fixtures (both home and away).  

The first weekend closure will be from 10pm on Friday 7 March to 5am Monday 10 March 2008. Traffic will not be permitted to enter or exit at junction 8, although the motorway will remain open.

The second closure will be from 8pm Saturday 15 March to 2pm on Sunday 16 March 2008 and involves the closure of the motorway between junction 8 and 9.

The ground is situated on the Brentwood Rd (A128) directly at the junction with the A13, this is actually the Orsett showground, but at the Brentwood Rd end not the Rectory Rd side.

Trials for the THLFC Under-15 squad for 2008-09 will take place in open training sessions at Enfield Playing Fields on Tuesday 6th, 13th and 20th May and the actual trials will be at Enfield Playing Fields on Tuesday June 3rd and June 10th.  The sessions will be from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.
 
To make sure that the sessions are manageable in terms of health and safety, if you would like to attend, please e-mail in expressing your interest in a particular date and please provide some details (i.e. name, preferred position in the team and previous experience (i.e. clubs played for, if any).

The wet weather hit fixtures for a second weekend, with the games for the Under-16s hosting Southend United U16 and the Under-14 with their visitors being Fairlands Youth U14 being rained off.  The HCGFL match between the Under-12 Blues and our Under-12 Whites was also rained off.

The Reserves home game against Leyton, the Under 16s London Youth FA U16 Cup semi-final against Eltham Town U16, the Under-15 Whites and Blues London Youth FA U15 Cup quarter-finals, the Under-13s London Youth FA U13 Cup semi-final and the Under-10s London Youth FA U11 Cup semi-final were all postponed because of waterlogged pitches at Fred Knights.

02.12.2007 The Reserves were to play a table-topping crunch game away at Hemel Hempstead Town in the GLRWFL - Division 2 North this afternoon, but the referee adjudged that the pitch was unplayable just before the game was due to kick off.

The Under-16s home HCGFL game against QPR was postponed, because the pitch was unplayable.

07.11.2007 The Reserves GLRWFL Division 2 North game against Newham Women on Sunday has been postponed.
05.11.2007 The Reserves have been drawn at home to Hendon Reserves in the Second Round of the GWLRF League Cup on December 16th.

In the First Round of the Russell Cup, the Reserves have been drawn at home to Flamingoes on 6th January 2008.

Sidcup Pumas U13 have withdrawn from the London FA Youth U13 Cup and therefore, our Under-13s have a walkover into the next round.  As a result, they will revert to their original fixture for the day at home to Stevenage Borough Juniors in the HCGFL with a 10:30 kick off.

Please note that this Sunday 11th November, the Under-14s will now kick off at 10:30 and the Under-16s will now start their game at 14:00.

02.11.2007 The first team's London County Cup Third Round game against Wimbledon on November 18th has been awarded to them as a walkover, after the South London side withdrew from the competition.  That means the Ladies progress to the quarter final, where they will meet the winner of the game between Addeyans (Long Lane) and Harringey Borough on 20th January.

The Wear It Pink training night raised £130.00 for Cancer Research, but the teams that did not take part last night haven't missed out in taking part.  If they want to dress up in as much pink as possible in their training sessions next week to try and raise more, then feel free !!  We will also be collecting at the week-end home games. So, give generously to raise the amount THLFC can give to this charity.
