The Reserves will play in the League Cup Final and the venue
is : -
BEDFONT FOOTBALL CLUB, THE
ORCHARD, HATTON ROAD, BEDFONT TW14 9QT
Kick Off will be at 15.00
For a location map, click here
The venue is located approx. 1 mile from Heathrow Airport and
is just off of the A30, Great South West Road. The easiest route
in from the M25 is to come off at J13 (Staines) as it is a
reasonably fast moving dual carriageway all the way to the
Hatton Cross Tube junction (about 10 mins from motorway exit to
Hatton Cross on a good day). If you come off at J13 and head
towards Staines, just keep going in a straight line. When you
get to the Crooked Billet roundabout / traffic lights, which is
the first major junction you come to after exiting the M25, keep
over to the right in the two outside lanes and the A30 goes
straight through the middle of the roundabout, veers to the left
and then on towards Ashford. Go straight ahead at the next major
junction (Ashford), you will see Ashford Hospital and Tescos to
your left and a couple of car showrooms on your right, the one
nearest the crossroads being a VW showroom. Go straight across
at those lights and on to the next major junction where you will
see a Vauxhall showroom on your left at a roundabout. Take the
first exit onto the Great South West Road and proceed on towards
Hatton Cross Tube. You will pass white the T4 Hilton Hotel on
your left then the runway perimeter fence, also on your left. At
the Hatton Cross tube junction (tube station is on your left,
petrol station on your right), turn right at the lights and then
almost immediate right again into Hatton Road, Bedfont FC will
then be on the left not far down Hatton Road.
The M25 roadworks for T5 are now compete between J15 - J13 so
the congestion has eased in that section considerably. If you
are not regular users of that section of the M25 please be
advised that the road layout has changed considerably and in
places is six lanes wide in both directions. Although well
signposted it does still catch people out on a regular basis
judging by the number of cars I see veer across three or more
lanes to either make or avoid an exit!
One final thing, not surprisingly, Bedfont FC is under the
Heathrow flight path. Depending which runways they are using you
can get large planes flying over quite low, quite frequently.
Last time we used this venue one of the Clubs said it would have
been nice to have been warned - so there you go, any plane
spotters amongst your supporters will have a field day...
