Tottenham Hotspur Ladies FC Trials 2003

The trials for players for Tottenham Hotspur Ladies Football teams for the 2003-2004 season took place at Frederick Knight's Sports Ground on Willoughby Lane, Tottenham on Sunday 29th June 2003 and we were blessed with scorching hot weather and a very pleasing turn out of prospective new players.

Under-11 (Under the age of 11 on 1.9.2003)

Under-12 (Under the age of 12 on 1.9.2003)

Under-14 (Under the age of 14 on 1.9.2003)

15+

Seniors

About 50 new players joined some of the the club's existing players in warm-up exercises, some skill sessions and small sided matches to assess their abilities. This was rounded off with a warm-down.

The junior players arrived in the morning for their trials, while the senior sessions were held in the afternoon and despite the very warm weather, the girls and ladies were determined to show what they could do.

Tottenham Hotspur Ladies FC hired the services of four coaches from Football 1st to run the sessions for the trialists and this allowed the Spurs coaches and managers to circulate and watch the players during their trial. The club would like to thank the coaches for their part in the day's activities.

The day was a resounding success and the staff at the club were over-whelmed by the number of trialists who attended. The general quality of the girls and ladies who attended and many have been asked back to attend further sessions to determine if they will be offered a place with the club for the coming season.
