Spurs
entertained a very resilient Hitchin side at Fred Knights in the first
game after the Christmas break.
Spurs
started well and with the passes flowing well, went into the break 5-0
to the good. The second half began the same with the home side
dominating. Alison Woodward deputising in goal had a very quiet
afternoon with no action to keep her warm.
Hitchin
defended very well, with chance after chance went begging for Spurs and
if not for another superb display by the visiting goalkeeper, Tottenham
would have surely doubled the score.
The
goals
for Spurs were scored by Chloe Smith 2, Lulu Fox, Molly Bartrip and
Danielle Wheeler.

Spurs entertained Garston Ladies on Saturday
at Frederick Knights and entertain they did.
The football at times was outstanding,
which gave the visitors no time to be effective. Five goals in
each half plus shaving the woodwork on numerous occasions, saw the
league leaders polish off a superb performance to remain on target for
the title.
The Blues' scorers were Danielle Wheeler
7, Lulu Fox 4, Chloe Smith, Molly Bartrip and Phoebe Guiver.

Spurs travelled to Denham with an under
strength side and started the game with five players due to the heavy
traffic causing delays.
Denham took the initiative and scored an
early goal from a breakaway, but shortly after Spurs finally fielded
seven players and started to play. Lulu Fox struck first and after
a number of missed chances, Danielle Wheeler doubled the
score.
The second half began with Spurs now in
control and playing as normal. Lulu struck again to make it
three. Molly Bartrip and Keegan Russell were snubbing out the
Denham forward line and with Isabella Rueben-Crompton and Danielle
creating chances, it wasn't long before Chloe got the first of her
hat-trick to make the score four.
Danielle and Izzy went close before Molly
hit a superb drive from the half way line, which had goal written all
over it, until the home keeper, who had a great game, saved well.
Chloe then added her second with some fine build-up play by Izzy and
Danielle. Chloe then finished of a fine treble for the sixth, with
a goal out of nothing.
Straight from the kick off Lulu pinched
the ball from the forward and drove in an unstoppable shot from just
inside the Denham half to complete her hat-trick. Danielle
finished off her double after a solid display in midfield, on a heavy
pitch.
Izzy worked very hard today, creating two
goals and helping tirelessly in defence. Spurs showed great
character today, in a game where a possible upset was on the cards and
proved that given any situation, or whatever the odds, they will give
200%.
Way to go girls ...

Spurs Under-10 Blues
entertained the Surrey Girls League leaders for a long awaited
friendly. On a cold day both teams certainly entertained and in a
close encounter both sides played some attractive football. Both
teams had goalkeepers who would grace any side and although the score-line
seamed heavy, Cheam were worthy opponents. Some well taken goals
was the difference today, but take nothing away from the visitors, in
their first ever season, they are a credit to their club.
Goals today were scored
by, Lulu Fox 4, Chloe Smith and Molly Bartrip.
Big
thanks to Cheam parents, for their great support, Dave and Amanda for
what they have achieved in such a short time and a big cheer to the
girls … Well done !!

A first in Spurs Ladies' history saw the U10
Blues take on the U10 Whites in the Chairman's Cup Final at Frederick
Knights Sports Ground, putting in a fine display in over-coming their
club colleagues. It was a colourful day out with the Blues in
white and the Whites in yellow.
In the first half, the Blues showed some
Cup Final nerves as they were closed down quickly, but good work by
Chloe Smith, Danielle Wheeler and Phoebe Guiver kept driving them forward.
Whites keeper Lauren Holman made a couple of very good saves and when
replaced by Kitty Chapman, a shot from Danielle Wheeler was expertly
tipped over the bar. While there was little threat for
keeper Naomi Coulson, the defence had to be sharp to clear up any loose
passes and the midfield to stop the Whites getting forward.
With five minutes to go to half-time, a
long shot from Molly Bartrip beat Kitty Chapman at her post to give the
Blues the lead. The Blues pressed on and enjoyed a period of
pressure with some shots going just over and Lulu Fox hit the post with
a shot that bounced out to safety.
At half-time, Paul Fox encouraged the
girls to be patient and to pass the ball between them, to suit their own
game more. His words seemed to have the desired effect.
Into the second half, the Blues settled
and passed the ball batter making it hard for the Whites to gain
possession of the ball. A goal after two minutes made their task
even harder. Danielle Wheeler cut in from the left wing to hit a
powerful shot that hit the net. Danielle and Lulu forced two good
saves from the keeper, before the win was wrapped up with a goal seven
minutes into the half, when a shot hit the post and bounced out to Lulu,
who hit the ball back into the net to make it 3-0. A Molly Bartrip
header from a corner went just wide and she had to leave the pitch after
accidentally being caught with a late tackle and falling heavily.
Izzy Rueben-Crompton and Alison Woodward
played their part in the Whites victory and the girls showed the style
they had in reaching the final of this competition and taking a trophy
in their first season without conceding a goal, which is testament to
their strong defence of Keegan Russell and Molly Bartrip, with Naomi
Coulson behind them in goal.
Congratulations to Paul Fox, Les Smith
and their team on their success.

Spurs entertained high fliers Enfield today
and came up against a very dogged outfit. Spurs were the dominant
side in the first half, where chances were at a minimum for both teams.
The second period began with the home side creating all the chances via
Danielle Wheeler and Phoebe Guiver. Chloe Smith and Lulu Fox
pulled the defence in all directions but the vital goal still didn't
come.
Enfield rarely got out of their own half,
which left the visiting striker cold and alone in the Spurs half.
When called into action the lone raider was taken care of by Keegan
Russell and Molly Bartrip, which left keeper Naomi Coulson with a
virtually free day.
Spurs were still playing the ball around
patiently, awaiting the winner, when Phoebe found herself alone on the
edge of the box and fired home the crucial winner. Alison
Woodward worked tirelessly in midfield and when Isabella
Rueben-Crompton came on, she held firm in the centre of the park to give
the league leaders a well-deserved three points and another step towards
the double.

The two Spurs teams met each other again and
once more they put on another superb game.
The Blues control of the midfield was the
telling factor today and constant pressure took its toll on the Whites
defence. Today the girls showed their movement and passing can destroy
most defenders, apart from the three goals the Blues chipped the
woodwork three times and, but for some dogged defending from the Whites,
the Blues may have added more.
The goals were scored by skipper Molly
Bartrip and two from Lulu Fox, but both Chloe Smith and Danielle Wheeler
went close on more than one occasion. Keegan Russell and Molly
were in control of the defence, with Alison Woodward and Isabella
Rueben-Crompton working well, but the real engine today was Phoebe
Guiver, who never let the Whites settle.
Today saw Spurs Under-10 Blues clinch the League Title
to make it the Double with a game still to play.
Well done both teams.

In the second of today's games, Spurs took
on Rushden and Diamonds U10s in a friendly match.
Spurs took the game to their opponents
and scored the opener within 30 seconds. Rushden hit back and then
struck again to make it 2-1.
Tottenham then levelled the scores and
then the telling factor of playing earlier told. Rushden picked up
on several Spurs mistakes and finished up worthy winners by four goals
to two. The Spurs goals came from Lulu Fox and Georgia Miller.

Herts. Girl's
Football League - Division 1 League Cup
Spurs began their campaign for the Treble on
a very windy day, which made sure the conditions were not going to be
easy.
The Tottenham girls were always in charge
against a Denham side, who previously had conceded 15 goals against the
champions. Chances went begging, but Spurs still netted three
times without reply and the Spurs defence made sure that the visitors
were denied a chance on goal in a very quiet game by Spurs standards.
Goals for Spurs were scored by Chloe
Smith, Lulu Fox and Molly Bartrip.
