Tila took the ball further up pitch and went to pass out to Tegan on the wing but the pass was blocked. A substitution was made Tila came off and Alliyah McDonnell came on. Hampstead were awarded a free kick but Gemma stopped this from entering the goal area and kicked the ball out to Tegan on the wing. Single handed, Tegan ran up the wing and entered the Hampstead goal area and shot for the goal but the keeper saved. The goal kick went right down the pitch and Hampstead took a shot at goal but Hannah knocked the ball away. Hampstead were given a corner but Amy got hold of the ball and kicked it to Kelsey who cleared the ball further down to Alliyah. Alliyah took the ball further and shot to Tegan on the wing. Alliyah ran in the box and tackled for the ball clearing this from the goal area. A substitution was made. Gemma came off and Sanaa came on. Hampstead took a corner kick that curved towards the goal but Hannah kicked the ball away. Sanaa caught Hannah’s kick and went toward the Hampstead goal area. Sanaa kicked the ball out towards Tegan on the wing. Tegan crossed the ball to Alliyah who shot for the goal but this was saved. Moments passed and the fulltime whistle was blown.

The girls should be very pleased with the performances they gave today and I’m not the only one who thinks so. After the match the referee kindly told the coaches that “this was one of the best games he had ever refereed”.

Player of the match went to Alliyah McDonnell who battled for her team throughout the game. We saw some excellent tackling from Alliyah today who caused nothing but trouble for the opposition when they tried getting that ball around her. Alliyah has a keen sense for those surrounding her and always managed to safely cleared the ball to one of her team.

The Tottenham Ladies Under-10 Blues game against the Harvesters saw Alliyah McDonnell taking her position in goal. Kelsey Smith and Tegan Burling kicked off in the centre circle. From the whistle blow Kelsey ran with the ball to the Harvesters goal area crossing back to Tegan who shot at the goal but the ball went wide. The Harvesters goal keeper took her kick but Tila Lawton controlled this on the halfway line and passed to Tegan, who went back to the goal area and crossed to Gemma Biggadike who had placed herself in front of the goal. Gemma connected with the cross and belted in the opening goal.

The Harvesters goal kick was big and they took the ball down to the Spurs goal area. Leah Grafton tackled for the ball and passed forward to Hannah Grafton who cleared the ball from the box. The Harvesters regained possession from the clearance and took the ball back to the goal area and made a shot which was on target but Alliyah saved this. Alliyah made a long kick to Tila who ran around the defence and passed to Tegan on the wing. The ball got knocked off pitch and Tegan took the throw in. Tegan threw to Gemma, who, to us, looked like she was crossing over to the net. Gemma’s “cross” went straight into the net and was her own and the game's second goal of the match. The Harvesters goal kick saw the ball travelling back to the Spurs goal area and they made a shot at goal but Leah deflected this.

The coaches made a substitution Tila and Gemma came off to rest and Sanaa Williams came on along with Amy Nash. The Harvesters kicked off in the centre and Amy went straight in there stealing the ball away and taking it to goal. Amy shot but the keeper grabbed this and gave a very long kick down the pitch. Hannah ran forward, jumped and headed the ball back the other way. The ball landed at the Harvesters feet but Sanaa was on the case and tackled for the ball taking it further up field passing up to Kelsey. A foul occurred and Amy came forward to take the awarded free kick. Her shot went towards the goal but the keeper grasped hold of it. Leah came forward when the ball was kicked catching the ball on her chest and passing out to Sanaa on the wing. Sanaa took the ball up the field and shot up to Tegan who went further toward the goal. The ball got knocked behind and Spurs had a corner. Amy took the kick and Kelsey caught this shooting at the goal but the keeper saved. The half time whistle was blown with the score being 2-0 to Tottenham.

Tila took over from Alliyah in goal position. Harvesters took the centre kick. Kelsey was in there again causing problems for them not allowing the ball to be kicked out. It was a battle for either side to break out of the centre at first but Tottenham came through and went for the goal. Sanaa set up Tegan who shot for the goal but the keeper was ready and caught this. When the ball was kicked the girls tried to get back the ball but a foul occurred and Harvesters were awarded a free kick. They shot towards the goal area but Hannah blocked this and gave a big kick down the field to Amy who shot at the goal but the keeper saved. Amy went back down pitch and when the keeper kicked the ball she brought the ball to her feet with a header and ran crossing to Sanaa, who took the ball further and passed to Tegan who went for the goal but the defence cleared the ball away. A substitution was made Sanaa and Kelsey came off and Gemma came back on with Alliyah.

The game continued with Alliyah doing some great midfield work. Alliyah shot the ball down the pitch but the Harvesters caught the pass and ran with it to the Spurs goal area where they took a shot. Tila grabbed this and threw the ball to Amy to take the goal kick. Amy booted the ball up the pitch where Gemma won possession of the ball and ran up the line making it to goal side and went to cross to Tegan but the defence knocked the ball off pitch. Gemma took the corner but the defence kicked the ball away down field. Hannah was there to reach the ball and crossed to Leah who cleared the ball up the wing to Amy. Amy went to go further with the ball but it was knocked off pitch. A substitution was made Alliyah came off and Kelsey came back on.

Amy took the throw and threw it to Kelsey who went to the centre of the pitch. Amy guarded off the opposition and Kelsey passed out to Gemma on the wing. Gemma ran up the line making it to the goal side and crossed to Tegan. This time the ball was delivered and Tegan belted in the third goal of the match. Tegan then ran to the side line skidded along on her bottom to sit in front of the spectators and with a big cheeky smile shushed us all by raising her finger to her lips. The Harvesters goal keeper made a big kick down the pitch which went to their forward. The Harvester went to turn with the ball at the same time Hannah went to make a tackle and the girls collided. The game was stopped and the coaches removed both girls to rest. Sanaa came on along with a Harvester sub and the game played out for the remaining minutes. The full time whistle was blown leaving the score at 3-0 to The Blues.

This was a good game for Tottenham as the team are all gelling together now with each player complimenting another’s skills. Well done girls.

Player of the match went to defender Hannah Grafton. Hannah stands solid inside the goal area and makes it oh so difficult for people to shoot for the goal. Hannah displayed brilliant heading and crossing skills throughout the game.

Although the collision in the game looked nasty, Hannah has assured us all that she is fine and we would like to wish well the other Harvester player.

Gemma took the corner. The ball went to Amy who had a shot but the keeper grabbed the ball and kicked it down the field. The team should be very proud of the way they played today. They put up a good fight and did not give up before the final whistle blow.

Player of the match went to our captain Tegan Burling. Tegan led the team throughout the entire game giving direction and encouragement. Tegan is always available for her team and is a true force to be reckoned with when she catches that ball on the wing.

Well down The Blues!

The Spurs under-10 Blues game against QPR started with Sanaa Williams in goal. Kelsey Smith kicked off in centre with Tila Lawton. From the first whistle blow Tottenham was on the attack. Kelsey took the ball from centre to the wing where Tegan Burling was waiting. Once the ball was in her possession Tegan took the ball up pitch to the goal area. QPR defended and shot the ball down pitch. Hannah Grafton cleared the ball away to Gemma Biggadike.  Gemma went up the wing and crossed the ball to Tila but the cross was intercepted.  QPR got the ball into the Spurs goal box and shot but Sanaa grabbed the ball and stopped it going in.

Sanaa booted the ball to Gemma who ran with it up pitch, passed the ball up to Kelsey, who went further up the midfield before crossing to Tegan on the wing.  Taking the ball further up pitch Tegan took on the QPR defenders and went to pass back to Kelsey who had followed her up the field.  QPR got hold of the ball and got it away from their goal area. Their midfielders took the ball to the Spurs goal area but were met by Leah Grafton who tackled for the ball and passed it to Hannah who cleared it away to Tila, who tried passing the ball to Gemma, but QPR tackled the ball away and had a shot at goal from which they scored.

A substitution was made Alliyah McDonnell came on relieving Tia. The Blues kept up the memento of the game trying to score an equalizer. A free kick was given to QPR just outside of the goal box. Tottenham made a defensive wall and prevented QPR from scoring. From this the ball went off pitch giving the Blues a throw in which Gemma took up the line to Kelsey, who passed the ball back to Gemma.  With a mighty kick Gemma got the ball up pitch to Tegan, just outside the QPR goal area and she entered, going around one defender, but another one was there to tackle for the ball clearing down the pitch.  Alliyah was there to tackle for the ball passing to the wing. Gemma was ready on the wing and took the ball back up pitch but the half time whistle was blown with the score being 1-0 to QPR.

The second half we saw Alliyah taking the goal keeper position. Tila came back on pitch. Tila crossed to Sanaa who went for the goal area but the keeper grabbed the ball away. The goal keeper made a big kick down the pitch but it landed at the feet of Hannah. Still the Blues battled. Alliyah gave a big goal kick down to the midfield where Tila was. Tila took the ball up the middle and passed to Sanaa. The pass was gotten hold of by QPR, but it was meant to go to Sanaa so she tackled for the ball gaining possession and passed to Gemma. Gemma went to pass to Tegan but QPR knocked the ball off pitch. At this point a substitution was made. Tila came off and Kelsey came back on. Gemma took the throw in but QPR tackled for the ball and cleared it down pitch. Hannah got the ball and passed it to Leah who ran back up pitch passing to Kelsey in the clearing. Kelsey ran up further and when the opposition tried tackling her she passed to Tila who was following up with her. Tila took the ball up to the goal area. Gemma had followed alongside Tila and when the defence tried to take the ball Tila passed to Gemma who was in the perfect position to shot and score. It was now 3-1.

QPR kicked the ball from the goal but Sanaa got possession and ran back up pitch with it crossing to Tegan on the wing. Tegan took the ball to the goal and made a shot. The keeper knocked the ball behind the goal giving Spurs a corner. Gemma stepped up for the corner. The ball went to the goal area but the QPR defence kicked the ball away and the full time whistle was blown. The final score 3-1 to QPR.

Although the girls may not have won the game they were still victorious. They never gave up hope and continued to battle right to the very end. The team work shown in the game was unbelievable.

Player of the match went to captain Tegan Burling. Tegan for the entire match was continuously running alongside and guiding her team mates. Tegan displayed brilliant tackling skills and has a great way of dribbling the ball around the opposition. Whenever a player is getting pressured by the defence Tegan is always out on the wing to relieve them.

Luton tackled for the ball and attempted to enter the goal area but Leah tackled and cleared the ball up the wing calling the final whistle blow.  The score was 2-1 to the Blues.

Player of the match went to Amy Nash who continues to keep herself available to help out her team, showed great individual skills and always gives it everything she has until the final whistle.
