Spurs seemed in control of the game from the start, having most of the
possession and keeping the ball in the Harvesters end for a good part
of the game.
In the 21st minute, a great pass from Chloe Kraemer was
picked up by Ruby Marlow, who scored the first goal of the game.
Then straight from the restart, Becky Shephard collected the ball and
ran it up to the Harvesters goal and knocked it in the net for Spurs
second.
Kirsty Cunoosamy made a great run with the ball that she hit into
the net, but the goal was disallowed. Rosie Daly then picked the
ball up and ran it up the centre of the pitch, producing a pass to
Becky, who hit the cross bar. Just after this a Harvester player
broke away and scored their first goal, but play was soon in the
Harvesters end again where Spurs were awarded a corner. After a
scramble in front of goal, the ball was knocked in by Ruby in the last
minute of the first half for her second and Spurs third goal.
In the 49th minute, Chloe played the ball to Becky, who scored her
second to make it 4-1 to Spurs and then Tayla Goodman picked the ball
up well from a Harvesters kick and made a lovely pass to Kelly Fenlon,
who narrowly missed the goal.
Becky got another goal in the 57th minute for her hat trick and
Spurs fifth goal before Harvesters got their second.
Spurs kept playing well and in the last minute of the game Ruby got
her hat trick and the game finished 6-2 to Spurs with Ruby being made
player of the match. Both teams played a good and friendly game.
Manager John Goodman commented, "It was a great performance by all and
gave the girls a well deserved result. I could not have asked for any
more commitment from the girls that played ... well done !"
