The Under 15's recorded an excellent 5-1
away win against Belmont United Ladies in the HGFL.
A double strike by Bonnie Cullinan put
Spurs 2-0 up early in the first half before Belmont scrambled a goal
into the Spurs net just before the break to get back into the game.
However, Spurs dominated the second half
with midfielder Kelly Farace striking home two goals from the edge of
the box plus a well taken goal from substitute Sam Garner sealing an
excellent victory. |

Second half substitute Julia Colley
bagged a second half hat-trick as the Under 15's put in a top
performance against an experienced Harpenden side in the HGFL.
Spurs started the game in bright form and were 2-0 in the first seven
minutes through goals from Jessica Richards and Renee Johnson-Allen.
Colley opened her account just after the break to put Spurs 3-0 up
before a determined fight back saw Harpenden score twice, but it was
Colley who steady the ship scoring twice more to complete her hat-trick
in the closing stages.

The Under 15's continued their unbeaten
run with an excellent 4-2 victory over Chesham United Ladies in the HGFL.
Bonnie Cullinan opened the scoring after
10 minutes following up after a good save from the Chesham keeper.
Chesham then caught Spurs asleep before
the break and took a 2-1 lead going into the break. After the
break, Spurs lifted their game again and a brace from Bonnie Cullinan
put Spurs back in the lead and completed her hat-trick.
Renee Johnson-Allen completed the scoring
with a sizzling 25 yard volley to see Spurs run out 4-2 winners.

The Under 15's proved the comeback kids
this weekend after coming back from a 3-0 half time deficit to win 4-3
over previously unbeaten Hemel Hempstead Girls.
After a lack lustre first half peppered
with Spurs defensive errors, manager Alex Fearon's half time team talk
kicked Spurs back into life. The key to Spurs success were a
series of excellent corner kicks from Bonnie Cullinan that Spurs
converted through Lillie Chapman, Jessica Richards and Julia
Colley.
It was left to Renee Johnson-Allen to put
Spurs in front within five minutes to go and the girls held on despite a
late Hemel rally to remain unbeaten in the HGFL.

A goal-filled game saw Spurs move on in
style with a crushing win over Denham United, who valiantly made a game
of it right to the end. It took
only five minutes for Bonnie Cullinan to open the scoring with a neat
turn and shot into the top left hand corner out fo the keeper's reach
and then soon after rasped a shot just past the post. On 13
minutes, Denham dragged themselves back into the game with a scrambled
goal from a corner. Becky Williams
saved a firm shot on the quarter of an hour, but stood no hope of the
long shot that gave Denham the lead. They hit the post in their
next attack, but were pegged back in the 22nd minute, when Bonnie
drilled home a shot from the edge of the box. Two
minutes later and Tottenham's great offensive play paid dividends to
take the lead through Jessica Richards fine shot. And the play was
almost repeated a minute later with Bonnie putting Jessica through to
finish in style to make it 4-2. Four became five on 27 minutes,
with Renee Johnson-Allen firing a trademark bullet shot home form
outside the box, leaving the United keeper helpless. Becky
made two good saves - one at the feet of a Denham forward and another
from a volley from six yards out, as the visitors threw everything at
Spurs. Spurs started the second
half the way they had played the first and knocking the ball about
confidently, they brought a double save from the visiting keeper from
Kelly Farace and Bonnie in the first minute, but soon Denham narrowed
the margin with a fifth minute goal. Halfway
through the half, Denham brought it back to 5-4 and they realised they
might be in with a chance fo getting something from the game.
However, Spurs stepped up another gear and put together some flowing
moves to force Denham back. A
scramble from a corner saw the keeper deny Rochelle Alexandra and then
the same player and Julia Colley were thwarted by defending blocks from
a free-kick. Becky was called upon to tip a straightforward shot
over the top and then Spurs drew away from their opponents. A
loose ball on the edge of the area was met with a pile-driver of a shot
from Renee on 73 minutes, that almost ripped a hole in the net to make
the score 6-4. Julia Colley was
running the Denham defence ragged and her right wing cross was touched
past the keeper for the seventh Spurs goal and Bonnie's hat-trick in the
last minute. Then the goal of the game, with a neat move featuring
a back-heel from Renee to Julia, who raced away, avoiding a despairing
lunge from a Denham defender, to rifle a shot past the goalie for a very
well-worked goal. With the game
well into injury time, Denham grabbed a consolation fifth, but the Spurs
girls were well satisfied with their win against a team who were
determined to get something out of the game. Manager Alex Fearon
said, "I was pleased that the team played with some excellent
passing moves in the 'Tottenham Way', which is success with
style." |

| Spurs started
play in this top of the table game showing unbeaten QPR too much
respect. The Rangers striker kept our defence on their toes for
most of the game with threatening runs into the box and with a powerful
shot on many occasions.
Spurs picked up in the second half and
had a few good breakthroughs on the QPR goal. We had to wait until
a late corner which Julia Colley bundled into their goal to get on the
score sheet.
It was a tough physical game which left
the QPR goalie replaced with a dislocated shoulder and saw two Spurs
defenders with injuries. The team put up a good fight chasing the
game especially in the first half, but lacked the confidence shown in
previous games.
A wake up call for the U15's after enjoying their recent success, but then
there's always the away game ...

| The half-time
score of 1-0 to Tottenham's Under-15s did not hint at the avalanche of
goals that would come in the second period for the home side, as they
crushed Charlton Pinnacle Scholars at Fred Knights.
It took two minutes for Tottenham to open
the scoring with Bonnie Cullinan driving the ball past the Charlton
keeper. Although Spurs had the numerical advantage of ten players
against Charlton's eight, they did not make it pay in the first half,
with only a couple of shots wide and a drive over the bar from Rochelle
Alexandra after being set up by Julia Colley to show for their
possession.
Manager Alex Fearon's half time team talk
did the trick and the players passed the ball a lot better in the second
half to make the possession tell.
Two minutes into the second half, Julia's
shot was saved and Bonnie hit a right wing cross from the rebound that
the keeper carried over the line to make it 2-0. Three minutes
later and it was three, with Julia played in down the left channel to
drill the ball home low into the corner of the net.
Sam Garner pounced on a loose ball in the
goalmouth, as the defence left it for each other to clear and fired home
number four in the ninth minute of the half. Renee Johnson-Allen
slotted a through ball to Bonnie two minutes later for her to slide the
ball past the keeper as she came out to make it 5-0.
Charlton still tried to attack the
Tottenham goal, but found Renee in the way and Lizzie Lodge made some
good saves as stand-in keeper. This laid the foundations for the
girls to play a bit and when Lizzie De Asha exchanged passes with Julia
on the left wing, she ran half the length of the pitch and finished
clinically past the goalie to score a memorable 57th minute goal.
Renee got in on the act on the hour, when
she received a goal-kick from the Charlton keeper and rammed a pocket
shot past her to take the score to 7-0. The eighth was scored by
Renee again when the keeper dropped a Sam cross at her feet a minute
later and in the 64th minute, Sam notched the next goal when her initial
shot came back off the post, but she was fast enough to respond and slot
home at the near post.
With time running out, Spurs continued to
press forward and were rewarded with four goals in the last eight
minutes. Bonnie completed her hat-trick with a cool finish after
being put through the middle by Renee, then Sam got her treble with a
goal snaffled from an intercepted back-pass with five minutes left.
A left wing corner was swung directly
into the net by Julia in the 77th minute and the scoring spree was
completed by Sam Garner's fourth, when she broke down the right wing,
won a tackle with the keeper and put the bal in from a narrow angle wide
on the right.
Spurs had the ability to use the space
and the extra two players, but it took until the second half when the
Charlton girls ran out of steam for the Tottenham side to make the most
of that advantage.

Under-15s repeated the comeback they performed earlier in the season in

The girls found themselves 1-0 down to
the visitors soon after the start, but fought their way back to claim a
famous Cup win thanks to goals from Bonnie Cullinan and Jessie Richards.

| It was revenge for
the Hemel Hempstead girls following last week’s expulsion from the
League Cup at the hands of Spurs’ Under-15s.
With league points at stake, Hemel made
the most of home advantage and pushed Spurs back from the start. Their determination was matched by the Tottenham girls but on
the day the play went Hemel’s way and they ran out 2-1 winners,
despite Renee Johnson-Allen's firmly struck goal, leaving Tottenham to
contest the race for second place behind QPR. |
