Spurs started off well in this friendly against Watford Ladies U15, going one up in the first few minutes with a well struck goal from Ruby Marlow, but this was a match that was used to try players in different position and getting the new players to gel well, which they did.

Watford seemed the stronger team though and won the game 6-2.  The second goal for Spurs was a great goal from Kirsty Cunoosamy.  The Spurs forward ran past a Watford defender, keeping in control of the ball breaking into the left corner of the penalty area and hit a great shot over the keeper as she advanced and into the net.

Although Spurs played well they need to work on their fitness levels so they can keep up there good play for the 80 minutes of the game.

Travelling across Tottenham, Spurs Ladies Under-15 Blues took on Broadwater Farm United as part of their build-up for the new season.

Spurs played well, keeping possession of the ball for best part of the game.  The defence of Rosie Daly, Leanne Simmons, Loren Hynes and Georgina Robertson all fought hard to keep the ball out of the Spurs goal area for a lot of the game, giving Megan Barsby little to do, but when needed, she scooped the ball up easily to keep it out of the net.

The midfield players of Lotty Lovejoy-Crump, Jessie Donnelly, Tayla Goodman and Chloe Kraemer had a good understanding of each other passing the ball well to get it up to the front two players of Katie Walters and Ebony Clarke, who both played very well in the game, shooting at goal every chance they had.  This resulted in Tottenham taking the lead in the 25th minute, when Ebony scored to give the Spurs girls a 1-0 at half time.

In the 43rd minute Spurs won a corner that Rosie Daly converted into a goal with a great header, then in the 49th minute a goal from Katie gave Spurs their third.  With no subs Spurs seemed to tire in the final quarter of the game, but kept going to keep the final score at 3-0.

Manager John Goodman said, "With a few players missing for this friendly, it proved to be a good test of stamina for the girls.  The new players have already settled in well and the girls gave a decent display to show what is possible this season."

Spurs faced an away game (played at Fred Knights) against Hitchin Town Belles and the girls had a bad game, even though there was some good individual play, they just didn't play as a team and Hitchin came out 3-0 winners.

Although Spurs Under-15 Blues were 4-2 losers to Watford they put in a much improved performance from their last time out.

They started positively and scored first with a fine shot from Jessie Donnelly, but were punished for poor finishing as the home side hit four goals either side of the interval.

Spurs seemed to tire half way through the second half, but they tried to fight back well and another great long shot from Donnelly finished in the back of the net to give them some small consolation

Manager John Goodman commented, "The girls gave a good performance in the first half, but we missed a good few chances and they made us pay in the second half when we tired.  With lack of fit subs, the girls gave what they could, but were unable to get back into the game.  A good performance and things are improving ... keep it up !!!"

Tottenham Hotspur Ladies Under-15 Blues played one of their best games so far this season to take all three points against Luton Town Hatters.

Spurs started with great determination, with every player giving everything they could.  The defence held the Luton players at bay with the midfield pushing forward at every opportunity they had.  In the 35th minute, their attacking moves were rewarded with a goal from Ruby Marlow, who finished with a shot into the bottom corner from inside the penalty area and Spurs finished the first half 1-0 up.

With the team having players out with injury and illness, they started the game with only one sub and at half time one of the players had to leave and then, when Loren made a great tackle at the beginning of the second half, she injured her wrist and so most of the second half was played with only ten players.  However, they kept battling on well and then in the 56th minute they were awarded a corner that was taken by Ruby, who flighted it into the goal area and Chloe got on the end of it to convert it over the Hatters goalkeeper with a looping shot to record Spurs' second goal.

Luton then scored in the 65th of the game and although they were getting tired, Spurs kept them at bay for the last few minutes of the game and won 2-1.

The manager, John Goodman, commented, "This was the best attacking football we have played so far.  I could not have asked for more.  Solid play from the first whistle and the girls showed determination to win.  Well done and keep it up !"

Spurs Ladies Under-15 Blues got off to a slow start in their HCGFL game with Hitchin going 2-0 up by the twelfth minute, but then Spurs seemed to get it together for Lotty Lovejoy-Crump to score in the 25th minute and then Ruby Marlow drew Tottenham level in the 29th minute, only for the team to let in another two goals before half time.  That left Spurs going in at half time 4-2 down.

After a good half-time team-talk, the girls come out in the second half with a much more positive attitude.  They kept their shape a lot better and kept the ball in the Hitchin half for quite a bit of the game.  They were rewarded in the 52nd minute when Kirsty Cunoosamy got on the end of a through pass to plant it into the back of the net for the third Spurs goal and then after good all round play, Eleftheria Taladianou, in her first game back at the club, got the ball and with great determination ran towards the goal and shot into net to level the score and the game finished 4-4 with hours shared.

Manger John Goodman commented, "The girls did what was asked of them at half time and in the second half they pulled the game back to 4-4 and just missed a chance to net the winner at the end.  Well done on a strong second half performance."

Spurs Under-15 Blues continued their good run of results with a 5-1 win over Hemel Hempstead in the HCGFL.

Tottenham started with a positive attitude and went one up in the fourth minute of the game with a goal from Lotty Lovejoy-Crump, who had moved up from defence to play in midfield.  Keeping their shape and passing well, Spurs scored again in the 25th minute with a goal from Chloe Kraemer.

Hemel then got a goal back in the 30th minute, but Spurs worked the ball back into the Hemel end for Eleftheria Taladianou to score in the 33rd minute.  Just two minutes later, Hemel were awarded a penalty, only for Megan to make a great save to keep the score at 3-1 to Spurs at half time.

In the second half Lotty had a narrow miss when a great shot at goal hit the crossbar.

With the defenders on top form, the ball didn't see much of the Spurs goal and in the 57th minute, another shot by Lotty found the back of the net.  In the 68th minute, Kirsty Cunoosamy scored the fifth Tottenham goal and the game finished at 5-1 in Spurs' favour.

The mangers commented, "It was a solid performance, with the girls' fitness getting better and the team looking sharper.  I hope we can improve with each game.  Well done !"

Although the girls of the Under-15 Blues suffered another defeat, this time at the hands of Cambridge City, they played well against a far superior side, fighting hard from beginning to end.

With Megan Barsby absent ill, Tayla Goodman went in goal and made some good saves, with all the players, especially the defence, working hard in front of her to help her out.

Manager John Goodman said, "The girls played well as a team and kept their spirits up.  All they need is to play a team in the same class as them to show what they are really capable of."
