Spurs went 1-0 up before half time when Tarn Harris powered a shot from the edge of the penalty area that fizzed to the right of the keeper.

Tarn added a second after half time, which was quickly followed by an Andrea Edobor special from distance.

The goal of the game was undoubtedly the fourth when the defence (Tessa Osborne/Paige Barnard/Lucky di Biasio/Jodie Fenn) built the attack from deep and with fine passing up the pitch involving Jodie and Rhiannon Kelly was finished off by a first time strike from Tarn to claim her hat-trick.  Aimee Rose got the fifth with a simple tap in to get her first goal since rejoining Spurs.

All players and parents at Spurs U15 would like to thank Daniel Cockle for his hard work over the last year in coaching this squad and we pass on our best wishes to him as he steps up to coach the senior squads.

Tottenham had the advantage of a very strong wind in the first half, but it was Kidlington who had the better start with much of the football played in the Spurs half.

After 25 minutes Spurs took the lead, against the run of play, when Leasha Ngotho hoisted a ball into the area, only to see it bounce into the net.  This was followed two minutes later when Chloe Gunn found space and from 25 yards out unleashed an unstoppable shot that put Spurs two up.

Spurs were enjoying a good spell that saw them hit the woodwork twice before getting a third before the break.  Zoë Jackson's clearance from the halfway line deceived the keeper and bounced into an empty net.

Kidlington scored relatively quickly after half time when some indecision in the defence allowed a striker a clear shot which she despatched.

Spurs dug in deep as Kidlington launched a series of attacks, but, as a result, left their defence pushed too far up the pitch and Vanessa Hassan was able to steal in to put Spurs 4-1 up.

The midfield and defence worked tirelessly to quell the attacks, but Kidlington had not given up and soon pulled another back, when a loose ball was not cleared and then added another soon after as tired legs took their toll.

With a minute to go Spurs were lucky not to concede another when a shot was hit over the top when it seemed easier to score.

Good character was shown by the girls and we would like to extend our thanks to Kidlington for their sportsmanship and to the referee who had an excellent game.

Tottenham played some good football in patches, but perhaps the score-line was a bit generous as the last three goals were scored in last ten minutes  of the game.

Paige Barnard had given Spurs a first half lead, then two similar goals from Tarn Harris, where she showed her strength on the ball to hold off challenges and score followed by a late opportunist strike from inside the area from Beth Brown Hunter Scott, which went over the keeper to make it 4-0.

Tottenham went 2-0 up before break with Rhiannon Kelly striking the opener and an own goal doubling the lead, but the home goal ten minutes into second half with a high lob that went over the keeper made it a worrying end to the game.  However, there was little other threat from the Hatters, leaving the defence rarely troubled and Spurs enjoyed about 60% of possession in the game, putting together some nice passing moves throughout match.
