The first ten minutes saw a lot of action in the middle of the park, but with no real attacks, with the team needing quick changes.  On came Merve Kokol to bolster the defence and this allowed Rhiannon Bassett to take up a more advanced role.  This move changed the game completely and the Spurs Ladies took total control of the game with some slick pass and move action, looking dangerous with Amylee Gullefer threatening with every ball.  On twenty minutes, a heavy head to head challenge with a Redbridge defender saw Amylee having to leave the pitch to receive treatment.

The first half saw Spurs threaten with no real clear openings due in large to Redbridge getting a lot of bodies behind the ball.  The exception to this was was a determined run forward by Elaahe Farmsahad that ended with a Redbridge defender pulling her back 20 yards outside the box.  Up stepped free kick specialist Jade O'Brien, delivering a beautifully weighted curling shot that was heading for the net only for the very tall Redbridge keeper to stick her hand in the air and divert the shot wide.  At the other end, Spurs' keeper Kayleigh Frankland had very little to do, this in main was due to her positioning and she was first to all the long hopeful punts that headed her way.

The second half started brightly, with the Spurs wingers Jade O'Brien and Lizzie Vinning being equally impressive, getting in behind the defence and playing some wonderful balls into the penalty area.  At the other end Redbridge found themselves up against a brick wall defence of Kathleen Jackson, who was first to everything, the vastly improving Wani Awaoloto with Georgina Reuter snuffing out any threat on the left and Merve being solid on the right.  But it was the clever play of Elaahe, who was suffering from a very bad cold and the driving force of Rhiannon Bassett that saw the first break through.  Some close interplay between these two saw the ball played out wide Lizzie latched onto the free ball and with breathtaking skill and turn of speed burst into the box and unleashed an unstoppable left foot shot into the top right hand corner.

And then strangely the breaks went on the midfield lost it's shape and confidence wasteful long balls played into no mans land ensued, although the Spurs still seeing the majority of the ball the final pass all but disappeared. Ellie-May goody and Amylee had no real service to work with, the Spurs defence trying to restart the game only to find wasteful balls from the centre areas.  It was from one of these wasteful punts the Redbridge Ladies gained from a like for like punt found the Redbridge centre forward break the breach and was one on one with the keeper the following shot was unstoppable and the equaliser ensued.

The rest of the game was pretty much uneventful, Spurs having much more of the ball but the final pass was disappointing.

This was a good strong display from the team and with the addition of a few new signings yet to play and the return of Ellie, it should see a much stronger and determined Spurs side win many more games then they lose or draw. 

A few players deserve note.  It was great to see Dot Penders back in a Spurs shirt after a year out, Rhiannon Bassett playing perhaps her best game for a year only to pipped to the player of the match award by the always super talented Kathleen Jackson.
