What would the others in the club say your strengths are ?
Hard working / ‘Never say never’ attitude / Soft touch!
Which person has had the biggest influence on your career ?
A games teacher called Ian Wolstenholme.  He realized I was never going to make it (!) and suggested something around the edge of the game i.e. Coaching / Refereeing / Making the half time teas !
Which player do you try and model your game on ?
I think if I named a player I modelled my game on they would sue me!  I have a turn named after me – The ‘Crufts‘ turn!

I admired players like Gary Mabbutt and Graham Roberts from the past. Total determination / Club players.

As a manager, I would like to model myself on someone from the past like Keith Burkinshaw. Bill Nicholson was my hero as a youngster and still is.
Club supported :
Tottenham Hotspur FC - Saw my first game in 1967.  I was born two months before we won the Double in 1961.
How did you get interested in the game ?
My dad was a first class referee and we used to go to his matches as a family.

My older brother played at a good standard also. I used to layout the kit for his team with the manager so I was probably destined to be a football odd-job man!
